In this course, the students learn/acquire the basic Hebrew language skills namely listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. The students in this course learn the Hebrew letters and distinguish between its two forms: printed and handwritten, to be able to make syllables, words , and sentences  till writing simple paragraphs about daily use language. It also presents and discusses important issues related to functional grammar  such as markings, formulating plural, Muthanna,  feminine and masculine word structure, in addition to other issues related to numbers, conjugations, nouns...etc. which help students to produce a spoken and well-structured written language. Focus will be directed to grammatical structures and vocabulary through short reading texts followed by drills. The relation between Hebrew and other languages are also highlighted.
